Why do they do all these elaborate tactics? Why can’t they simply invest like us.

Well, because manage a few lakhs and a billion dollars is very different.

You can be okay with a portfolio of Rs 5 lakh dipping by 10%, but if a billion (or worse, a trillion) dollars dip by even a few per cent, it could be devastating.
