Purpose trumps all
A recent realisation
A while back, I used to be short term goal driven.
I thought of what must be done to get ahead TODAY, without thinking much of tomorrow.
But that is not how progress is made in the long term.
Now I think of what I can do today that can compound to be a really big asset 1 or 2 decades from now.
One cannot expect to do this without doing something they are really passionate about, something that’s your passion.
If you do something just for the money, you will do it till you make money and then abandon it due to boredom or frustration.
Congrats, you just let go of years of progress because you chose a field you don’t care about.
Even if what you love to do makes you less money now, you will be motivated to continue it for decades, and the end result will be much bigger.
Give yourself some time to figure out what your purpose is, and pursue it. This is the only way to achieve greatness.
